October is packed with fun Fall activities in Orange County. Whether you need an idea for date night, fun with the family, or an opportunity to toast to friends, here are some of the happenings for the month of October:

Old World Oktoberfest | Huntington Beach, October 1-30

Come down to Huntington Beach to celebrate October at this German-themed party with beer, bratwurst, music, dancing, and, in addition, Dachshund races. Tickets range from $7-$25.

Anaheim Fall Festival and Halloween Parade | Anaheim, October 29

A family-friendly festival and parade featuring food, music, carnival games, children’s costume contests, and storytelling. The festival has been a tradition for the city of Anaheim since 1923. And best of all…admission is free!

Pageant of the Vandals | Laguna Beach, October 1-20

An alternative to the annual Pageant of the Masters, this unique exhibition in Laguna Beach features amazing pieces created by street artists, including an original piece by the renowned Banksy, preserved from the exterior wall of a bed and breakfast in San Francisco. The exhibit is located at the Artist’s Republic Gallery through October 20th.

Huntington Beach Air Show | Huntington Beach, October 21-23

Enjoy an exciting show of jets and aerobatics champion pilots performing breathtaking stunts in the air. General admission is free.

Bat Night at Tucker Wildlife Sanctuary | Silverado, October 15

Just in time for Halloween, families can come to learn about local bats at this one-night event. Enjoy a BBQ dinner, face painting, wagon rides, crafts, pumpkin carving, and wildlife education. Admission is $5 and free for children under 5.

The Red Barn – A Farm to Fork Experience | Costa Mesa, October 1

Sit down to a once in a lifetime four-course gourmet meal prepared by local chefs featuring locally-sourced ingredients. This exclusive dinner is hosted in the Millenium Barn at the OC Events Center. Food is paired with fine wines chosen by the Orange County Wine Society. Guests may also enjoy appetizers and cocktails, as well as a guided farm tour. Tickets are $150 and include food, alcoholic beverages, parking, tax, and gratuity.

Knott’s Scary Farm | Buena Park, October 1-31

Knott’s Berry Farm turned Knott’s Scary Farm is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared for roaming monsters jumping out around every corner. If you’re feeling brave, try venturing through one of the many of the spooky themed mazes. Tickets range from $40-$52.

Old Capistrano Farmer’s Market | San Juan Capistrano, Wednesdays October 1-26

Come and gather fresh fruits, veggies, eggs, oils, and baked goods at this local farmer’s market. The Old Capistrano farmer’s market has been running for 14 years and, as a result,  is now a community staple for the beautiful historic downtown. While you’re there, make a stop to visit Mission San Juan Capistrano.

Downtown Long Beach Promenade Beer & Wine Festival | Long Beach, October 10

While not technically Orange County, this is an exciting event in one of our neighboring cities. Enjoy beer and wine tastings, food pairings, and live music in bustling downtown. Furthermore, slated to participate are over 40 breweries, wineries, and restaurants.. Tickets range from $15-$40.
